FAMILY BIO
My husband and I are thrilled to be welcoming our daughter soon! We enjoy quality time together, whether that's relaxing at home or spending time outdoors. For our daughter especially, we value a general routine (flexible, of course), attending to her emotional and physical needs to be the primary focus, and ensuring she has enrichment activities appropriate to her age during her wake times, including time spent on walks outside. My husband and I enjoy reading, spending time with our dog, following sports teams and attending sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
IDEAL NANNY
Our ideal caregiver would be a confident, experienced person who is naturally warm, attentive, and equipped to manage a baby's emotional and physical daytime needs. A strong focus on keeping baby safe (and knowing what to do should an emergency arise) as well as aligning with our parenting style of positive reinforcement are very important to us. Preferred gender identity being female, our caregiver would be comfortable with working in our home while my jovial, easygoing husband (accompanied by our friendly dog) works from his home office in the basement while the caregiver attends to the baby in other areas of the home. We plan to have a general, flexible daytime routine for baby (nothing too rigid) and would love for our caregiver to try her best to parallel how we manage our baby during the day to keep continuity where possible. A caregiver who is able to go for daily walks (weather permitting) with baby would be helpful as we hope for baby to have outside time incorporated into her daily schedule.
Dates we would like to have the caregiver: early June 2025 - early June 2026 (or late May 2026, whichever is typical for a 1-year contract). We then plan to transition our daughter to daycare.
