Our Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing fitness equipment. They ensure safety within the club by promptly repairing non-functional equipment and conducting preventative maintenance on all equipment. The facility technician is responsible for coordinating and communicating general repairs and facility maintenance with club management.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Your daily focus is to ensure proper operation of all club areas and equipment, which ensures a safe, outstanding experience for our members
- Conducting a daily walk-through of the facility, identifying repair/service needs, and maintaining the club's Maintenance Log
- Partnering with the Operations Manager to discuss club maintenance needs
- Keeps record of repairs performed on equipment
- Maintaining, or overseeing outside service provider maintenance of, the pool/spa/steam/sauna to ensure proper chemical balances, draining, and general servicing
- Performing routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Maintains electrical components, audio/video systems, basic plumbing and overall general building tasks
- Orders parts for repairs, and creates a time frame for part delivery
- Ability to access and repair/paint walls and other surfaces by using sandpaper, scraping and removing old paint
- Sufficient physical ability for climbing ladders/ basic ladder safety
- Competent in using equipment and tools to maintain and repair club, including painter equipment
- Once per month steam room descaling
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, analytical problem solving, and communication skills
- Demonstrated success in priority management and agility in responding to shifting priorities
- General understanding of computer skills, including email
- Reliable transportation
- Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Ability to move fitness equipment weighing a maximum of 50 pounds
- Must have a legal right to work in the United States
- Steam Room Maintenance Experience, general maintenance, once per month descaling.
- Freemotion and/or Matrix equipment maintenance experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
Schedule:
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
