Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform basic life support techniques as needed, maintaining readiness for emergency situations.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Prepare patients for dermatology consultations by obtaining medical histories and conducting preliminary assessments.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Provide medical administrative support including answering phones, managing correspondence, and coordinating referrals.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospital or outpatient setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to hospital medicine and dermatology.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems is an advantage.
- Must be able to inhale medication if required for specific patient treatments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
