Summary
Principia is looking for a Rental Housing Assistant to support the maintenance and management of tenant housing. In this role, you will focus on exterior maintenance needs and, when required, assume the day-to-day responsibilities of the Rental Manager. Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage property upkeep will be key to your success. Reporting to the Rental Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring well-maintained and functional housing for tenants. You’ll collaborate with facilities teams to uphold high living standards.

Primary Responsibilities
- Maintains all single-family lawns, including mowing, weeding, trimming, blowing
- Assists with gutter cleaning, drainage issues, mulching, in various seasons
- Identifies, corrects, or hires, an approved vendor to assist with siding, roof, and window repairs
- Provides on-site support for Rental Housing issues, meeting tenants, vendors
- Maintains digital documentation of Rental Housing inventory, project files and departmental files
- Monitors all maintenance contracts/agreements and issues requisitions when needed
- Assists with pre-move-in and post-move-out inspections and documents the files accordingly
- Generates work orders and preventative maintenance scheduling via the Work Order System
- Provides support to other facilities departments, and is willing to work closely with the Custodial Supervisor to ensure consistent leadership in times of need
- Will be on the snow removal and storm clean up team

Minimum Qualifications

- Must be reliable, take initiative, be a problem solver, have effective interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player and be productive under minimum supervision
- Able to work hard while being in the sun and on your feet all day
- Must have a background in landscaping and manual labor
- Must have basic computer and Microsoft based software skills
- Have a current and infraction free driver’s license
- Wear Safety shoes and other safety equipment needed or assigned

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range for this position: $23.79 - $27.68 hourly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
