Job Title: Kitchen Prep

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Prep team member to support our kitchen staff in the preparation of ingredients, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Job Overview: As a Kitchen Prep, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of ingredients, organizing the kitchen, and ensuring the proper storage and handling of food items. This is a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of the kitchen and ensuring food is prepared to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with washing, peeling, chopping, and prepping vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as required by the chef.
- Prepare meats, seafood, and other proteins, including marinating and portioning.
- Ensure all ingredients are properly stored and labeled according to health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area and kitchen at all times.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen tools, equipment, and work surfaces.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe kitchen environment.
- Support the kitchen team in other tasks as needed, including restocking supplies and assisting with dishwashing.
- Help with inventory control and ensure stock levels are properly maintained.
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen prep or food handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as stand for long periods of time.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay:
$16-19/hr (based on experience)
