Purpose of Position
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of projects including schedule, logistics, budget reports, and quality control located in the Berkshires and Hudson Valley.
- Oversight of all aspects of design and construction from start to final closeout and warranty.
- Review and analysis of plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Creation and maintenance of project schedules and presentations to the project team.
- Monitoring of design and construction progress, with updates and presentations to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and construction management from start to finish.
- Plan review and analysis.
- Schedule creation and maintenance.
- Progress monitoring and reporting.
- Meeting coordination and documentation.
- Pre-construction coordination and checklist maintenance.
- Purchase order and subcontract coordination.
- Project documentation and information flow management.
- Proposal interpretation and work plan development.
- Schedule creation and monitoring using MS Project.
- Due diligence gathering and jurisdictional entitlement requirements.
- Conceptual design level constructability review.
- Compliance monitoring and approved submittal adherence.
- Information flow and process documentation.
- Submittal, change directive, and RFI collection and presentation.
- Change order identification and request preparation.
- RFI response and submission.
- Relationship development with sub-contractors, architects, engineers, and owners.
- O&M manual and close-out document creation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
- 5 years of experience in construction management.
- CAD/MS Project/Adobe/Bluebeam knowledge and experience.
- Estimating experience including quantity takeoffs, bid leveling, etc.
- Working understanding of construction means, methods, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Constructability issue identification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
