We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team in Bristol, CT . (Choose between locations- New Britain, CT | Bristol, CT | Plainville, CT | Waterbury ,CT | Hartford, CT. ) This one-year residency program , starting in Fall 2025 , offers structured mentorship, hands-on experience, and professional development in a supportive primary care setting. Under the supervision of board-certified Primary Care Nurse Practitioners and Physicians, you will gain valuable clinical skills while providing high-quality patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct medical evaluations , develop accurate diagnoses, and formulate treatment plans in accordance with clinical best practices.
Perform physical health examinations , preventive screenings , and medication management .
Prescribe therapeutic interventions and administer medications as required.
Monitor and support patients' self-care management and provide necessary health education.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and clinical assessments to evaluate patient needs.
Utilize evidence-based practice to triage clinical emergencies and implement safety protocols.
Document clear and concise clinical impressions and treatment plans .
What You Bring:
Education & Licensure:
Registered Nursing degree and a relevant Master’s degree in Nursing.
Certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) .
Active Connecticut APRN license and Registered Nurse (RN) license .
Active DEA controlled substance registration and Connecticut controlled substance registration .
Ability to acquire and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire .
Clinical Expertise:
Strong foundation in primary care, chronic disease management, and preventive care .
Experience or training in triaging clinical emergencies and implementing safety protocols .
Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment .
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams .
