The Public Archaeology Laboratory, Inc. is a full-service New England cultural resource management firm. We offer archaeological services primarily in New England and the Mid-Atlantic regions. Our clients include governmental agencies, corporations, engineering firms, and private developers from the energy, telecommunications, transportation, and environmental market sectors.

The IT Support Analyst ensures proper computer operation so end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.
Responsibilities
·Provide systems and network support
·Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software for employees
·Respond to Tier 1 help desk tickets Escalate support issues to appropriate levels for resolution assistance if unable to resolve
·Communicate with IT Management regarding outstanding issues
·Perform necessary tasks to resolve and close calls in a timely manner
·Train internal end-users on system and software basics
·Troubleshooting skills for a host of peripherals and the use of command line
·Physical capability to lift and carry 50 pounds
·Maintain and promote the high standards of the department set by IT Management
Qualifications
·Associate’s degree in IT/IS minimum
·One or more IT related Industry Certifications, training, or equivalent job experience
·2 yrs. in a high-paced technical support environment with an understanding of the essential expectations of the job and bring valuable knowledge and experience to the firm
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure, and to meet agreed upon deadlines
·Good knowledge of, and experience with, Windows 10/11 and Microsoft M365 is required to support the company standard of using the Microsoft family of operating systems and products
·Experience supporting Windows, OSX and iOS operating systems
·Basic understanding of WAN / LAN infrastructure, and Windows servers (Active Directory) and messaging (M365/Exchange)
·Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and non-verbal)
·Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to work in multi-task working conditions with minimal supervision
· Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to be proactive in problem resolution for a production environment
·Must be highly self-motivated, require little or no supervision and demonstrate a consistently strong initiative
· Ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
· Ability to work as part of a team of outside IT engineers working across several different complex application platforms
Compensation
$75,000 to $90,000
