What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at The Pumphouse Riverside Restaurant and Bar?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient service
- Take to go food orders - Take orders from tables - Clean and stock bar
Experience:
- Previous experience in bartending
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and mixology is a plus
- Familiarity with food service and hospitality industry standards
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills to provide a positive experience for guests
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail for preparing drinks accurately and garnishing them appropriately
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and their ingredients
- Understanding of health and safety regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service
