Our client is a leading provider of standard and custom-engineered quality power transformers for the utility industry.
Job Summary:
The Inside Sales/Customer Service Engineer will focus on creating and maintaining superior customer service along with sourcing new sales opportunities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
- Develops and implements strategies for sales in an assigned region or industry.
- Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
- Handles customer complaints.
- Will be responsible for setting up logistics for customers when necessary.
- Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
- Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.
- Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
- Collaborates with production, shipping, and leadership team on order status.
- Works directly with other sales associates and representatives.
- Occasionally meets with customers coming into facility.
- Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
- Maintains daily reports to be sent to managers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience including experience with technical products. (Experience in utility industry preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships based on integrity and service.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software including proficiency in excel and MRP system.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
