We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team at the Queen's Physician Office Building III Pharmacy. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Assist the pharmacist in the processing and filling of prescriptions and medication/medical supply orders.
- Review and enters order & patient information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Process and assist in the maintenance of pharmacy inventory.
- Perform sales transactions and provide customers/patients with information about medications, health insurance, and other health care related services.
- File third-party insurance claims on paper and electronically.
Qualifications
Required:
- One (1) year work experience, preferably as pharmacy technician/clerk.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge to handle cash transactions.
- Demonstrate experience in:
- o Ability to be accurate and attentive to detail
o Ability to work in a high-volume, sometimes stressful environment
o Operating different machines such as computer, calculator, cash register.
Preferred:
- Completion of pharmacy technical program or on-the-job education/pharmacy work experience.
Compensation
Compensation is based on experience relevant to this position.
