About the position:

We're looking for a Logistics Manager who will lead the charge in creating innovative, seamless logistics solutions that drive our success across multiple sites. This is no ordinary logistics role – you'll play a pivotal part in shaping how we move materials and finished goods, optimizing every step along the way.

In this role, you'll develop and execute cutting-edge logistics strategies, overseeing everything from inventory management to inbound transportation and cost-effective warehousing. Your expertise will directly impact our manufacturing and distribution, ensuring the right materials are in the right place, at the right time.

As the primary point of contact for our dealers, you'll build and maintain strong relationships to resolve shipping, inventory, and delivery concerns, all while ensuring operational efficiency and satisfaction. You'll lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that elevate our performance.

  • Establish world-class distribution/logistics operations that demonstrate The Raymond Corporation's intralogistics solutions.
  • Leverage expertise to develop methods, practices, and procedures that ensure the efficient operation of our expansive logistics infrastructure.
  • Lead divisional/multi-site/corporate logistics strategy development, including finished goods inventory management, inbound parts transportation, and cost-effective warehousing strategies to support manufacturing in Greene, NY, and Muscatine, Iowa.
  • Utilizes proven experience to flex resources and available space in response to evolving business needs.
  • Establish processes, projects, operational teams, and systems that support organizational objectives.
  • Evaluation and validation of existing global logistics strategies in a dynamic, ever-changing environment which includes over the road, ocean freight, and rail.
  • Establishes and maintains 3pl operations necessary to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers to ensure seamless communication and efficient logistics operations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for dealers regarding shipping, inventory, and delivery concerns, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Facilitate training and guidance for dealers and internal partners on logistics systems and procedures, ensuring the tools are available for smooth operations.
  • Develop and manage budget and utilizes corporate resources to maximize effectiveness across the organization.
  • Provide input and justification for staffing requirements.
  • Initiate action and approve or recommend approval of promotions, merit increases, transfers, leave of absence and other personnel changes.
  • Mentor and coach employees, sharing job specific knowledge. Encourage training and development opportunities.
  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding performance metrics for division/site/functional area.
  • Champion safety as an integral part of everyone's job and hold self and employees accountable to highest standard of safe conduct.
  • Promote teamwork and continuous improvement by soliciting input from employees and fostering an environment of material and individual development in a TPS (Toyota Production System) environment.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrates excellent listening skills to foster an environment of two-way, open communication in all interactions.

About the schedule:

This position is on-site and requires travel approximately 20% of the time.

About you:

  • This is a mid-level management role within the organization. Eight or more years of professional experience, with at least three years of management experience is required.
  • Experience with Global Logistics in a manufacturing environment

It would be great if you had:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Material handling industry experience as well as technical competencies of the functional area.
  • International logistics experience.
  • Compliance experience.

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $96,500 - $123,500 per year. Compensation commensurate with selected candidate's education, skills, and experience.

Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • This is a mid-level management role within the organization. Eight or more years of professional experience, with at least three years of management experience is required.
  • Experience in the technical competencies of the functional areas of responsibility is preferred.

Additional Details : Employment authorization required. The Raymond Corporation will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.

Salary : $96,500 - $123,500
