Our Syracuse location is made up of our Parts Distribution Center (PDC) and our RayBuilt, Center of Excellence (COE) locations. We specialize in remanufactured motors, drive units and handles, which are rigorously tested and inspected. We ship service parts from our facilities to Raymond Service and Support Centers to provide world-class support for our customers worldwide.
About the position:
We are seeking a dedicated Security Guard to patrol both PDC and Raybuilt Syracuse locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enforcing security protocols, monitoring for suspicious activity, and promptly reporting any concerns to Human Resources. This position is vital to ensure a secure and safe environment for all employees and visitors. You will:
- Patrol buildings and grounds examining doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure.
- Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles.
- Alert authorities when necessary.
- Maintain Security Log, record data, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, malfunctioning machinery or equipment.
- Monitor Security Cameras and door access systems.
- Assist to manage outside contractor's entering facility.
- Perform required safety inspections of fire suppression and other emergency equipment.
- Secure and turn on Facility lighting circuits.
- Monitor HVAC equipment.
- Perform various general duties which may include delivery service, record retention, and general utility work.
- Inspect and maintain designated equipment and machinery.
About the schedule:
This position is first shift and will work 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
About you:
- 4 years of Security Guard experience
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- All persons engaged in security guard activities must be registered with the New York Department of State (DOS) and complete the following training courses:
- Initial Training Requirements:
- 8 Hour Pre-Assignment Training
- 16 Hour On-The-Job Training (within first 90 days)
- Annual Training Requirements:
- 8 Hour Annual In-Service Training
- Additional training and certification as required by The Raymond Corporation:
- First Aid/CPR, Forklift Operator, Other as required
It would be great if you had:
- High School Diploma or GED
About the total compensation package:
Wage - $20.00 - $26.00 per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's skill, education and experience.
