About the position:
The Technical Training role is integral in both the onboarding of new employees and the skill development of existing employees. The Technical Trainer will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs that support employee performance and effectiveness. These efforts support the creation and sustainment of a culture of continuous improvement.
You will:
- Assist with the redesign of the Assembly DOJO training program, including updating of the DOJO work stations and associated training materials to ensure the most current tools, equipment and processes are installed and configured.
- Assist with the redesign and facility upgrades to the existing Assembly DOJO and other classroom needs to support effective Onboarding of new hire associates.
- Assist with the development of technical training Onboarding curriculum and classes, updating content, and creating new content as needed.
- Assists with establishing a process, structure, point-of-contacts and follow-up to support successful integration of new hire associates to their production environments.
- Assists in the onboarding of a technical trainer to support the Assembly DOJO.
- Facilitates successful transition of new hires to their assigned areas in operation/assembly.
- Assists with the implementation and use of the 21-day Onboarding checklist for new hire associates.
- Works as a cross-functional resource to build greater skills and collaboration in the organization.
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist the instructional design team with revisions to existing course content.
About the schedule:
This position is 1st shift.
About the work environment:
Works in a factory setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. For forklift operation, required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company and operate the forklift in a safe manner. Required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/move/manipulate parts up to 50 pounds or use cranes/hoists to move heavier materials. Temperatures may be extreme; elevated in the summer, cold in the winter. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.
About you:
- An AA degree, military technical training, vocational or equivalent on-the-job training is required.
- Requires a minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in their respective field of expertise.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials, schematics (electrical and hydraulic), QAPs and functional specifications.
About the total compensation package:
Wage - $21.00 - $26.33 per hour depending on experience
Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.
