About the Team:
You'll be working as a member of the Production Equipment Maintenance team in the Connected Manufacturing department. This team is responsible for improving reliability of all the equipment used in daily production operations. The Connected Manufacturing team is leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies to increase overall production efficiency, including equipment reliability. You will have access to those technologies to help improve our equipment uptime.
About the position:
As a Work Order Planner, you will use your organizational and communication skills to help ensure that our production equipment operates at peak performance. This is a challenging role in a high-profile department that offers the opportunity to take your education, experience, and ideas and turn them into reality. We are looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and who has excellent communication and teamwork skills. Creativity, innovation, and an excitement for high-availability equipment maintenance will enable you to excel in this position.
In this role, you will work with a skilled team of maintenance technicians that are responsible for the day-to-day preventative maintenance and repair of all the production equipment. You will be responsible for helping identify parts required for repairs, finding sources for those parts, and placing the necessary requests in SAP. You will also be helping schedule larger repairs with production management to keep everyone informed and allow them to plan their production schedule accordingly.
You Will:
- Research equipment history to determine past part usage and services.
- Communicate clearly with outside vendors to obtain quotes for parts and services.
- Collaborate with production management and outside service providers to schedule repair and maintenance services.
- Work with management, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties to develop creative solutions for sourcing and expediting needed parts.
- Verify received parts are correct and properly allocated to work orders.
- Collaborate with Industry 4.0 Analyst and management to automate visualization of work order, purchase request, and purchase order status and KPIs.
- Monitor purchase requests and purchase orders for overdue items and works with other departments to resolve issues.
- Coordinate material availability and issuance with MRO to ensure parts are available when needed for work.
- Coordinate shutdown planning meetings and develops shutdown plans.
- Assist with prioritizing incoming and backlog work.
- Coordinate daily and weekly planning meetings with the maintenance team and others.
About the work environment:
Works in a factory setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. For forklift operation, required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company and operate the forklift in a safe manner. Required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/move/manipulate parts up to 50 pounds or use cranes/hoists to move heavier materials. Temperatures may be extreme; elevated in the summer, cold in the winter. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.
About you:
- Familiarity with tools suited to area of specialization, such as: specialized test equipment, personal computer, AutoCAD, PCAD, Pro Engineer Software, gages meters, and/or hand tools.
It would be great if you had:
- Industrial Mechanical experience and working knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes.
- An AA Degree in a technical field with a specialized knowledge of math and physics or engineering discipline.
About the total compensation package:
Wage - $19.00 - $34.50 per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
