As Assistant Manager Fulfillment, you lead and develop a team of 2 Supervisors and warehouse technicians while driving strategic planning and execution of department initiatives. The RealReal is the world’s largest online marketplace for authenticated, resale luxury goods, with more than 30 million members. With a rigorous authentication process overseen by experts, The RealReal provides a safe and reliable platform for consumers to buy and sell their luxury items. We have hundreds of in-house gemologists, horologists and brand authenticators who inspect thousands of items each day. As a sustainable company, we give new life to pieces by thousands of brands across numerous categories—including women's and men's fashion, fine jewelry and watches, art and home—in support of the circular economy. We make selling effortless with free virtual appointments, in-home pickup, drop-off and direct shipping. We do all of the work for consignors, including authenticating, using AI and machine learning to determine optimal pricing, photographing and listing their items, as well as handling shipping and customer service. At our 13 retail locations, including our twelve shoppable stores, customers can sell, meet with our experts and receive free valuations.

What You Get To Do Everyday
- Manage daily operations to maximize productivity and meet daily goals
- Oversee up to 50 Warehouse Technicians
- Oversee Outbound fulfillment activities including: Batching, Picking and Sorting while ensuring productivity standards are met
- Work with cross-divisional teams to build consensus on strategic objectives and operational goals
- Establish and implement operational policies, standards, and procedures for the team
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies
- Train team on expected operational standards using appropriate tools such as SOP’s, compliance audits, company policies & procedures
- Define Picking and Sorting SLAs/KPIs and track them daily
- Oversee daily operations and identify bottlenecks, suggesting solutions for continuous improvement
- Promote a culture of respect and an atmosphere of teamwork to foster a positive working environment
- Play an active role in staff management including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, corrective action and write/conduct performance reviews
- Ensure job function time studies and audits are completed and feedback is provided through coaching and training
- Ensure all team members are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations
- Perform administrative activities associated with the effective management of warehouse operations, including maintenance, housekeeping, and organization
- Lead investigations for incidents and injuries as required, in partnership with HR, Safety, and Loss Prevention
- Actively support and participate in all safety initiatives in the warehouse
- Assist Fulfillment Managers as needed by providing additional coverage
What You Bring To The Role
- 3 years of experience leading and managing a team of 20 or more, preferably in a warehouse environment
- Drive to achieve results both individually and as a team
- Strong leadership ability in managing and developing a high performing team
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor communication style to suit the target audience; executive presence
- Agile, dynamic, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to “push the envelope” to always improve customer SLA’s and value-added services
- Strategic, forward-thinking perspective, excellent business judgment, and a collaborative working style

- 3 years’ experience working in warehouse operations
- 2 years’ experience with outbound workflow and process management
- Shipping and carrier (UPS, FedEx, DHL) experience a plus
- Lean Six Sigma certification
