The Manager, Authentication oversees a team of Authenticators in a production-driven, e-commerce warehouse environment.
What You Get To Do Everyday
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team
- Provide positive and inspirational leadership by building a strong organization focused on the employee and consignor experience
- Drive individual and team results through coaching and development techniques that support a positive and engaging employee experience
- Develop and execute continuous improvement projects that will enable better scaling e-commerce
- Drive achievement of quality and performance metrics including unit economics, quality and SLA
- Track and report on individual and team productivity throughout the month
- Act as primary point of contact for the copy/receiving team regarding the authenticity of items
- Ensure the success of the company by checking random assortments of product and actively identifying authentication issues/threats to the business
- Develop and implement resources and trainings to prevent acceptance of counterfeit goods
- Assist the Authentication and Brand Compliance team in effectively processing items through the product pipeline
- Manage team resources to ensure product is authenticated, priced, and appropriately described throughout the receiving/copy process
- Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, trends, corrective actions, and re-validations
- Maintain strong understanding of market pricing trends and KPI’s
- Review accuracy/authenticity of product before launch to the site
- Conduct product knowledge training & coaching for internal associates and external teams
What You Bring To The Role
- 5 years of experience leading and managing a team of 50 or more, preferably within an e-commerce warehouse environment
- 3 years of experience working in warehouse or similar operations
- A proven track record for managing and developing a high performing team in a metrics-based environment
- Ability to dynamically managing work flow is a fast paced environment, communicating priorities to the team
- Experience in workforce planning and scheduling
- Excellent business judgment, fact-based decision-making, and problem solving skills
- Drive to achieve results both individually and as a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
- Strong written, verbal, presentation & communication skills with ability to tailor communication style to suit the target audience; executive presence
- Adaptability and openness to change
- A growth mindset with a solutions focus
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency with Google Suite
- Experience in authentication for luxury goods
- Multi-brand knowledge, with particular regard to authenticity
