Job Title:
Full-time Activities Coordinator
Sunday-Thursday 11:30am-8:00pm Schedule, $22/Hour

Responsibilities:
The Therapeutic Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating approved activity programs for patients in treatment.
This position will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating community-based activities for patients in PHP and IOP levels of care.
Core Job Duties:
- Create engaging activities that promote high levels of patient participation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient participation and attendance tracking.
- Plan, organize and direct activities to facilitate patient recovery and well-being, which may include off-site outings.
- Coordinate and facilitate activities committee meeting to ensure distribution of monthly activities calendar.
- Ensure inventory of supplies are provided on-site.
- Support treatment team with patient interventions and de-escalation as needed.
Other Required Tasks:
- Counsel and encourage patients to develop leisure activities.
- Evaluate engagement and effectiveness of activities provided with the assistance of the Clinical Director.
- Maintain positive relationships with all staff.
- Maintain healthy boundaries with patients and staff.
- Ask for and accept feedback from supervisors.
- Provide a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.
- Communicate significant patient developments to supervisor.
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities and contribute to the success of the organization.
- Pursue professional development through participation in education and training programs.
- Contribute positively to the morale of other staff members.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Credentials:
- Minimum high school diploma required. Postsecondary education preferred.
- Minimum one year experience preferred.
- Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards.
- National or State Certification in Recreation Therapy required.
- CPR and Standard First Aid certification required.
