What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Monitor Technician (CMT), Town Center One (Wage) position at The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia?
- Monitors patients using electronic systems.
- Identifies variances and initiates follow-up actions.
- Documents patient data.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
Experience: No experience required.
Licensure: ECG Certification with the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine or National Telemetry Tech Certification with the National Telemetry Association required within 12 months of hire date.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, and cold.
