The University of Virginia Information Technology Services department is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in JavaScript and a strong background in administering and developing on the ServiceNow platform. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our IT service management processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Developing, configuring, and customizing the ServiceNow platform to fit business requirements.
- Create and manage workflows, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs.
- Integrate third party solutions with ServiceNow platform.
- Design scalable and concise coding solutions.
- Test, verify, and promote all ServiceNow enhancements following SDLC best practices.
- Join the on-call rotation, approximately one week per month. Troubleshoot issues and document solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements.
- Participate in agile development processes, providing input and feedback to improve overall team performance.
- Maintain an understanding of ServiceNow platform hierarchies and design principles.
- Participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance platform knowledge and skills.
