We are seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to oversee and manage all activities related to the construction of concrete flat work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of concrete laborers, including preparing, placing, finishing, and curing concrete.
- Develop work schedules and allocate tasks to ensure efficient use of labor and materials.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans to ensure accurate placement and installation of concrete flat work.
- Monitor project progress and ensure that work is completed on time and within budget.
- Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked and materials used.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and address any safety concerns promptly.
- Train and mentor crew members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Manage project materials and resources, including ordering supplies and coordinating deliveries.
- Resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Florida Driver License and Social Security Card.
- Able to work adjusted shifts. (AM or PM)
- Able to work overtime.
- Be Permitted to work in the United States. (per Federal Law)
- All applicants will be subject to a criminal background check, motor vehicle report and a pre-employment drug screening.
- Proven experience as a Concrete Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction techniques, form setup, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Strong carpentry background in building forms for concrete flat work.
- Knowledge of how to operate D-curb machine efficiently.
