What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time HR Admin / Payroll Clerk position at The Reesman Company?
Job Summary:
The HR Admin / Payroll Clerk will process weekly payroll for both Reesman’s Excavating and Reesman’s Service Corporation under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager and will assist in various Human Resources responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Collects and Processes employee payroll information (timesheets, punch cards, deduction authorizations, etc.) ensuring accurate and timely payment made to employees for each payroll period.
· Follows up with the appropriate Manager to ensure accurate payroll information.
· Sends out weekly hourly reports.
· Ensures payroll is accurate and consistent across multiple payroll software systems.
· Responds to payroll questions and concerns of employees, researching records and involving other resources/staff as needed.
o Records payroll errors and determines root cause to prevent future issues.
· Keeps current with HR Payroll policies and public policy changes affecting payroll rules and guidelines; provides input to policies and procedures for payroll processing.
· Onboards all new hires accurately and coordinates with the hiring manager and new employee on timeline.
· Posts Initial job search on various recruiting platforms.
· Completes initial screening of applicants and forwards them on to the hiring manager.
· Coordinates the scheduling of interviews with necessary parties.
· Distributes HR Dashboard metrics on a weekly basis.
· Performs other duties as requested
Accountabilities:

· Communication with all Supervisors to ensure accurate time entry
· Onboarding new associates
· Payroll entry into Sage
· Payroll entry upload into Paylocity
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Demonstrated attention to detail
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Previous payroll experience a plus
· Previous experience with Sage and Heavy Job a plus
· Intermediate Excel skills
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. with a minimum of three years of relevant experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
