Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with job costing and WIP reports. This person will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop.

Duties

• Banking - cash flow, review and reconciliation of all accounts, intercompany transfers.
• General Ledger - month-end including WIP reports and under/over budget (review, recons, journal entries), Quickbooks backups and maintenance
• Accounts Receivable - customer billings and payments (EFT, deposits, Stripe), job-costing, credit cards
• Accounts Payable - vendor maintenance, invoice management (coding, approvals), checks for signature, 1099s
• Payroll - timecard maintenance, bi-weekly payroll and reporting including benefit deductions and payments
• Tax Prep - documentation and reporting (corporate owner), coordination with CPA
• Budgeting
• Financial reporting and anaylsis
• Compliance
• Stay current with financial concepts, industry trends, and best practices.

Skills

• Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop
• Proficiency in job costing
• Experience with payroll
• Experience with A/P and A/R
• Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles.
• Experience in regulatory reporting and compliance.
• Strong analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
