Engineering Design Assistant - N8

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Associates degree (foreign equivalent or higher) and a two (2) year apprenticeship in one of the trade areas such as Carpentry or Electrical. In lieu of a degree, a four (4) year apprenticeship in one of the trade areas such as Carpentry or Electrical may be considered. Supervision of construction.

Preferred Qualifications:
Planning and/or crew administration experience.

Brief Description of Duties:
Working under supervision, incumbents design and construct a wide variety of models and devices following limited written or oral instructions. Complete assignments as described by the general nature and purpose of equipment of device.

• Perform laboratory construction of advanced difficulty in planning and designing with the ability to read blueprints.
• Monitor budgets and timelines.
• May assign and check tasks performed by others assigned to assist in the work when completing large projects or programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
