We are assisting our client, The Black Dog, in recruitment for an Accounting Manager to work out of their office in Mashpee, MA!
With a legacy of Cape and Island inspired hospitality and retail, they are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager or Office Manager to report to the CEO in overseeing all accounting functions utilizing QuickBooks.
Salary between 75-105k. This is a full time permanent position, but they would also entertain a temp to perm situation.
In office position with opportunity to work 1 day per week remotely.
Accounting Manager
We are seeking a full time Accounting Manager to oversee all of our financial and accounting operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting functions including analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement creation/preparation utilizing QuickBooks Desktop version.
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across the business to establish reporting standards alongside the CEO and other team members.
- Oversee payroll services, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, periodic closings, tax forms, and other ad hoc analysis in a multi location environment.
- Develop actionable recommendations from financial data, including, but not limited to, identifying risks, cash flow management, P&L forecasts, and other ad-hoc analyses.
- Create projections with different scenarios on growth opportunities as needed and develop accounting policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Manage and perform other duties consistent with the roll of accounting professional, including managing bank deposits, invoices, accounts payable/receivable, etc.
- Flexible, and take on new tasks
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields.
- 3 or more years of professional accounting experience, preferably within a small business.

- Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency.
