As a Medical Receptionist at The Retina Center, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within our practice. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of patient care and administrative efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Check out patients upon departure and scheduling any future appointments.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records.
- Process insurance information and verify eligibility for services.
- Assist with the completion of medical forms and documentation as needed.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers effectively.
- Maintain the reception area and ensure it is organized and presentable.
- Handle phone inquiries, providing information about services and answering questions.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
- Collection of copays.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role within healthcare.
- Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in medical office management practices preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with health information management systems is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Medicare processes is helpful.
