Hoffman Enclosure Specialist
The Enclosure Specialist performs solutions, is the product specialist, handles inside sales and purchasing functions for the Hoffman Meridian product line.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Interface with Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Engineered Solutions Group, Manufacturers, Manufacturers Representatives and Customers to provide custom enclosure solutions specific to the Hoffman Meridian product line. Orders are custom designed to meet customer specifications.
- Oversee all phases of delivering a custom enclosure from defining customer requirements to documentation of final product delivered. Coordinate the specification, design, detailing, build, delivery, quality and documentation of product (maintain ACAD drawings including revisions).
- Act as the product specialist assuming responsibilities such as pricing (market levels, price increases, cost, quoting, special price agreements and blanket pricing), delivery (stocking, quoting lead times, notification of late orders, expediting, and shipping costs and instructions), quality (tracking, issue notification and resolution), technical support (product knowledge), marketing (sales collateral), training (inside and outside sales) and commercial issues.
- Enter orders and follow orders through to delivery by running open order reports, notifying concerned parties of late orders, expediting of orders, providing delivery status follow-up, tracking missing or delayed shipments, handling of customer claims and/or complaints.
- Enter purchase orders, follow-up on orders, process cancellations, generate monthly reports of supplier delivery performance, act as the single point of contact for suppliers.
- Create, implement, and revise procedures and instructions.
- Attend supplier training.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelors degree preferred, but not required (Professional experience beyond the requirements detailed below will be considered in lieu of meeting the educational requirement)
- 2 years of product, sales, technical and/or customer service experience within the electrical distribution industry (Nema, Hoffman experience a plus)
- Preferred to have understanding/knowledge of climate control products used with enclosures and their materials (gasketing, mounting brackets, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to determine customers needs and provide better than expected customer service.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Hoffman business system.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft operation systems required.
