Job Description
The Richard Lynn Company is a family oriented company that is a leading franchise in the Hair Salon Industry, currently operating twenty-seven hair salons, and employing two hundred plus employees. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Office Manager/Bookkeeper to support the company's day-to-day operations, while continuing to build and maintain strong financial systems. The ideal candidate handles the monthly posting of financial transactions in Quickbooks, prepares financial reports, reconciles bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers, ensures records are accurate and taxes and bills are paid. They are also responsible for payroll and benefits, facility-related tasks such as maintenance, repairs, supplies, and general administrative support. The salary is commensurate with experience.
Work Environment
This is a full time position located in Naperville, IL in an upscale, home office environment. The dress code is business casual.
Responsibilities
- Complete biweekly payroll (ADP Workforce Now) including garnishments, employee loans, importing pay from salons and ensuring accuracy, and other essential functions. This includes managing the PTO system (vacation and paid leave).
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans. This includes reconciling payments received from employees for benefits to ensure accurate collecting and annual reporting (1095, 1099, and EEOC, etc.).
- Manage the corporate office including maintaining organizational systems, ordering office/salon supplies, filing and sorting mail daily.
- Manage and troubleshoot office technology (computers, printers, scanners, iPads, and computer programs, etc.).
- Pay bills, sales tax, transfer money, pay out corporate expense reports and enter into Quickbooks.
- Reconcile credit cards and bank statements to ensure accurate financial records.
- Maintain general ledger entries, ensuring proper coding and classification of financial transactions for Profit and Loss accuracy.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Assist with the coordination of monthly/annual meetings and other special events.
- Assist Executive staff and other team members as needed.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
