What exactly would I do?
As the Marketing Manager, you will embody the Symphony’s core values of inclusion, passion, quality, innovation and welcoming. Your days may be spent creating content for social media, maintaining or improving our website, drafting concert programs, developing marketing materials using storytelling of artists and artistry, cultivating positive relationships with external vendors, or analyzing data to refine marketing efforts. Some evenings or weekends will find you attending a Symphony concert, rehearsal or community event to engage with patrons at our informational table.
What qualifications and skills do I need?
A minimum of three years of professional marketing and/or communications experience, and a comprehensive knowledge of email marketing tools, web content management systems and social media platforms are all required. Specific exposure to Etix, Bloomerang, Adobe CC, Canva, DaVinci, or Premiere would be a plus. Strong oral and written communication skills, working collaboratively, and the ability to manage multiple projects are required. Knowledge of classical music repertoire would be desirable. You must be available to work a robust schedule of evening and/or weekend performances and events throughout the season from September until early June.
What’s the compensation and benefits?
This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $50,000. Benefits include health, dental, telemedicine, vision, disability and instrument insurances, a flexible spending or health savings account, flexible paid time off, sick leave, free parking, and a 403(b) plan. A combination of in-person and remote work is possible. A strong presence and participation at evening and/or weekend events, concerts and other activities is expected.
