Scott Mental Health Technician Opportunity

Part Time Days Monday- Friday 

 

The Ridge Behavioral Health System is seeking a dynamic and talented Mental Health Technician for our Satellite location in our schools. The Mental Health Technician will work part time or Per Diem/PRN, morning hours, operating on the our Public Schools Calendar, providing routine non-acute physical care for the patient as well as assisting with educational groups based on needs identified in the Master Treatment Plan.

The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.

Qualifications

We train you to be the best, but there are a few minimum requirements for this position

 

Education

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Some college course work preferred

Other Skills

  • Must demonstrate basic knowledge of emotional and mental health and disease concepts including the disease of addiction.
  • Must have clear communication / interaction skills and demonstrate competency in facilitating psycho-education groups.
