THE RIGHT STAFF are seeking qualified candidates for our client's Accounts Payable Specialist role, our client is a fast-growing B2B distribution company.
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team. This individual will play a crucial role in managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, and processing purchase orders (POs). This role will also support AR duties in handling overdue invoices, and assisting with collection of overdue payments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform three-way matching between purchase orders, invoices, and receiving reports to ensure accuracy before processing payments.Process and reconcile purchase orders (POs), ensuring all necessary documentation is present and compliant with company policies.Review and process invoices, ensuring they are correctly recorded and that any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve billing issues and ensure the timely payment of outstanding invoices.
- Assist in collecting overdue payments from clients, following up via phone, email, or written communication as necessary.Maintain organized records of transactions and document the status of purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
- Monitor and maintain the company’s vendor relationships, addressing inquiries, and disputes, and resolving issues related to payments.
Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable, with strong exposure to three-way matching and processing POs.Associate's degree in accounting or a related experience is required Data-driven; High attention to detail, with strong organizational and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience using any accounting or ERP/CRM software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues independently.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
