Job Description:
The Purchasing team at THE RIGHT STAFF is seeking a highly skilled Buyer to join their ranks on a contract/contract-to-hire basis. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing buying activities with OEMs and third-party suppliers, generating and maintaining purchase orders (POs), and identifying and onboarding new suppliers.

Responsibilities:
- Generate and maintain POs for raw materials, components, and finished products.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers, maintain relationships with current suppliers, and improve supplier performance.
- Create reports on purchasing metrics using ERP data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with internal customers to resolve quality, lead times delivery or other issues, and coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues as needed.
- Provide back-up and support to shipping and receiving departments as required to support supply chain and on-time delivery for engineers and external customers.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in supply chain, logistics, operations management, or related coursework is required. A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
- Previous purchasing experience in a complex ERP environment is highly preferred. Experience with an OEM and/or engineering consultant is a major plus.
