Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and educational growth through interactive activities and play.
- Follow established routines, including meals, naps, and classroom schedules.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
- Communicate effectively with team members and families to maintain a collaborative environment.
- Assist with cleaning and organizing the classroom or activity area as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years or older.
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working with children is preferred but not required.
- Ability to adapt to new environments and work well in a team setting.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Training and Professional Development
- On-the-Job Training: Receive hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced childcare providers.
- CDA Credential Support: Earn your Child Development Associate (CDA) credential at no cost while working in the position.
- CPR Certification: Obtain CPR and First Aid certification free of charge as part of your training.
Schedule and Availability
- This is a PRN (as needed) position with flexible hours. Availability to work on short notice is a plus.
