Activity Programs Specialist Overview:
Under general direction, responsible for the planning, organizing and supervision of the Activity Programs, including sports, recreational and community events.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Coordinate community events
· Oversee sports league programming throughout the year (basketball, pickleball, volleyball/Fall & Spring Leagues)
· Develop, evaluate and keep up with industry trends in Recreation
· Coordinate, manage, track and evaluate recreation programs to ensure that they are cost effective and meet the needs of the community
· Oversee division promotional and marketing strategies to promote recreation participation
· Perform public relations duties and assist in responding to inquiries and complaints
· Maintain confidential information and records
· Perform other duties as required
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Working knowledge of Recreation programs and their management
· Working knowledge of the rules of a variety of sports
· Knowledge of budget preparation, monitory, and administration
· Competency in use of MS Office software, database software, Canva
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Strong leadership skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Ability to adjust schedule to meet company needs, may include occasional nights and weekends
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree, or related field; OR High School Diploma and equivalent of 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
Required Certifications:
Current CPR for the Professional, AED, First Aid, or ability to obtain within the first ninety (90) days of employment.
