Summary
Oversees organization's main office reception area and functions.
The Receptionist is the first impression of the center and the central point of contact for The Riverfront Children's Center. This is an incredibly versatile role requiring changing direction throughout the day, switching gears and providing support to parents and staff, visitors, new hires, vendors, contractors, business office, potential clients and employment candidates.
Duties
- Answer telephone, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
- Receive payment and record receipts for services.
- Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
- Hear and resolve complaints from customers or the public.
- File and maintain records.
- Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.
- Schedule appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars.
- Provide information about establishment, such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided.
- Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.
- Office organization
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma/equivalent or higher
- Acceptable results on a recent physical and criminal record check
