IT Director
Location: The Riverside Church in the City of New York (New York, NY)
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Department: Administration Executive
Scheduled Work Week: Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
Salary Range: $115,000 to $125,000
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated team member to join our team. The IT Director works under the administrative direction of the COO, and will manage and supervise our organization's technical operations, which includes overseeing all IT related functions and ensuring all technology systems and applications support the organization's goals and objectives. This is a ‘hands on’ role managing a small team of technicians and vendors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the company's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Develop strategy alongside our outside network service company, as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems).
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Manage projects related to the implementation of new systems and technologies, including a migration to o365.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating IT projects in line with organizational objectives.
- Consult senior-level management to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology.
- Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring the system s performance.
- Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems.
- Keep up to date with new and emerging technologies and recommend how they can be leveraged to improve business operations.
- Provide direction, guidance, and training to staff.
- Ensuring reported issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5-7 years experience as an IT manager/director or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure, and networking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think strategically and align technology with business objectives.
