Seasonal Position, June 16 - August 15
Roeper Summer Programs is seeking energetic, responsible individuals for the position of Lifeguard. Lifeguards must enjoy working with children ages 3 - 12 years.
The Roeper Summer Day Camp is located on the Bloomfield Hills campus of The Roeper School. Camp hours are 7:50am to 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday, with the option to work additional hours for extra pay. This is a seasonal position that runs from June 16 to August 15. Camp is closed on July 4.
Lifeguard duties include contributing to the safety of camp participants by overseeing and providing appropriate instruction and supervision of campers for pool-based activities, water play, and enforcing safety rules. Lifeguards are responsible for guarding a standard in-ground pool that ranges in depth from 3 to 8 feet, and a wading pool that has a maximum depth of 2.5 feet.
Eligibility Considerations: Current Red Cross lifeguard certification, preferred experience in lifeguarding and swim instruction. **If not a certified lifeguard, but possess strong swimming skills, Roeper Summer Programs will provide the certification class.
