The Rogosin Institute is a not-for-profit medical care and research organization affiliated with NewYork Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine. Rogosin is one of the premier centers for the diagnosis and management of kidney disease in the country. The Institute also treats patients with diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorders and conducts research in these areas.
RI is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant who will be responsible for the preparation of financial reports, execution of account reconciliations, and the management of the general ledger. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes which includes expense analysis, account reconciliation and journal entry preparation
- Assisting with the preparation of accounting and financial reports
- Assisting with internal and external audits
- Work on other ad-hoc special projects related to accounting and financial reporting
- Assisting with the preparation of the Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
- Assisting with 1099 tax filing
