Job Summary & Essential Functions:
Under direct supervision of the Director of Facilities, performs routine tasks in the maintenance of the Bishop Alemany High School campus. Supports Bishop Alemany events and functions, both on weekdays and weekends. This position will cover a daily shift from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweeps, mops and vacuums floors. Dusts and cleans furniture and disinfects and sanitizes surfaces. Cleans classrooms, restrooms and applicable areas and restocks supplies like soap and paper towels.
2. Trash Disposal: Empties trash receptacles and manages recycling
3. Set-up/Break-down: Sets up and breaks down furniture and equipment for events as needed.
4. Maintenance Support: Provides maintenance support to Director of Facilities
5. Reporting: Observes, notes and communicates interior and exterior facility issues for repair.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum two years facilities maintenance experience
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Ability to frequently perform tasks requiring climbing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, bending and lifting
- Ability to stand and walk for sustained periods of time

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
