Working with a board-certified plastic surgeon, we specialize in breast and body contouring, cosmetic plastic surgery, as well as Medical spa services. From breast augmentation to mommy makeovers, Dr. Rose’s dedication to the precision and artistry of plastic surgery, results in improved and restored form, function, and confidence for every patient. Our leadership team sets the tone for a positive, friendly, energizing, and motivating work environment for all.

We are currently seeking a highly talented, passionate, energetic and professional part-time Certified Nurse Assistant or Medical Assistant (Monday - Friday 9am-5pm) to assist our Nurse Practitioner and Aesthetic Injector. Candidate must have an impeccable bedside manner and passion for helping patients feel safe and comfortable in our Med Spa. Candidate must have a CNA/MA certificate.

Individuals within this job classification are accountable for providing nursing care under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner. This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to function in an assistive role to provide patient care. This individual must also understand the workings of the unit information flow and be able to facilitate this information for the most efficiency possible. He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Utah Nursing Practice Act.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

· High school degree required

· Completion of Medical Assisting program required

· CNA, CMA or MA certificate required

· Training in plastic surgery or Medical Spa assisting a plus

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Two years of experience in a clinical setting preferred

· Familiarity with cosmetic and Med Spa procedures

· Type 40 WPM

· Good spelling

· Experience with an Electronic Health Record

· Bilingual in Spanish is desirable

· Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications

· Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor

· Excellent communication skills

· Neat, professional appearance

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Clinical Support

· Greets patients and escorts them from the waiting room to exam rooms; prepares patients for pre-op, post-op and follow-up or non-invasive cosmetic treatments

· Review and document health history forms

· Takes vital signs for post-op and follow-up patients as needed

· Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments

· Accompanies APRN during examination, chaperones and charts

· Assists in suture removal, drain removal, and other clinical activities as directed by the APRN

· Draws or prepares injectable drugs

· Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization

· Disposes of contaminated items according to OSHA guidelines

· Performs patient education when appropriate

· Replenishes supplies—stocks and cleans exam rooms

· Takes medical stock inventory and communicates supply shortages to manager

· Takes Before and After photographs according to protocol

· Completes all logs

· Takes messages from patients with clinical questions and forwards notes for APRN

Other

· Maintains patient confidentiality by following the HIPAA Compliance Plan established by the practice; releases PHI in accordance with the practice's HIPAA Compliance Plan, attends regular HIPAA training, maintains data security by refusing to share computer and other passwords, and reports all identified and suspected HIPAA violations to the Manager.

· Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions

· Attends annual CPR, OSHA and HIPAA training programs

· Attends all regular staff meetings

· Performs all other tasks and projects assigned by the Manager or APRN

Access to PHI (Protected Health Information)

This position has extensive access to PHI. It requires the review of computerized or paper-based medical records, lab results, and tests, in order to perform clinical duties as well as communicate effectively with patients. It may also require access to computerized and paper-based reimbursement data (such as referral forms)¾which contain both a patient's clinical and financial information.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Typical Physical Demands

Position requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking. Employee will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. Normal visual acuity and hearing are required. Employee will work under stressful conditions, and work irregular hours. Employee will be exposed to bodily fluids on a regular basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
