The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe with a national and international reputation for high quality patient care, research, development and education. The lymphoedema service and the wider Therapies Service within which it sits, are key members of a multidisciplinary team geared to the rehabilitation of patients undergoing surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy in both in and outpatient settings.
Band 3 Administrator for the Lymphoedema Service, Chelsea, 22.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
- Document all messages received clearly and accurately, relaying them to the appropriate lymphoedema therapist as soon as possible.
- Process all external referrals to the Lymphoedema service via the central referrals office ensuring that patients have completed all relevant forms prior to their appointment
- Prepare and process all new referral, discharge and deceased documentation in line with Trust standards and policies.

Flu Vaccination – What We Expect of our Staff
At The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.
The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
