The Pantry Manager will provide services through the Basic Needs Pantry to address the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of participants of the programs in a manner that is consistent with the mission of The Salvation Army.
About the role:
- Oversee and coordinate the organization of the Basic Needs Pantry and kitchen. Ensure the Distribution Area is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner at all times.
- Dispense Basic Needs Pantry orders during weekly distribution hours and in other emergency situations.
- Act as the agency liaison for stores and community groups conducting food drives.
- Supervise and train court-assigned community service workers and Work Experience participants who are working in the basic needs pantry.
- Accept in-kind donations and issue receipts as needed.
- Track all donations that are received.
- Assist with seasonal social services programming including Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- Cook meals and other food as needed for events and feeding programs
- Work in connection with the Case Manager to provide leadership, supervision and direction to all volunteers involved in the daily operations of Superior social services programs.
- Coordinate efforts with the Thrift Store Manager to transfer food donations from the thrift store to the Corps building as needed.
Other Functions:
- Foster a positive image of The Salvation Army with employees, volunteers, service workers, donors and clients. Build community relationships, expanding resources to The Salvation Army.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications: Valid Wisconsin Driver's license with approval to drive from TSA's insurance carrier.
Experience: Must have experience working with food and people.

Full-time employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week will be eligible for full benefits, including health, dental, vision and hearing benefits, basic and voluntary life benefits, holiday pay and paid time off, which is pro-rated based on their regularly scheduled work week.
Non-Exempt Employees: Health, dental, vision, and hearing benefits, as well as basic and voluntary life benefits, will begin on the first day of the month following 90 days of employment. If the completion of a 90-day waiting period occurs on the first day of the calendar month, coverage will begin on that day.
