Position Overview
Lead a dynamic retail operation that makes a difference in your community! As Store Manager, you'll oversee daily operations, develop your team, and create an exceptional shopping experience while supporting The Salvation Army's mission of helping those in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop store staff through training, scheduling, and performance management
- Drive sales and productivity goals through effective merchandising and inventory management
- Ensure exceptional customer service and create an enjoyable shopping environment
- Manage store maintenance, safety, and security protocols
- Oversee cash handling procedures and financial reporting
- Collaborate with central warehouse for inventory needs
- Support work therapy program participants with training and supervision
- Maintain store appearance and implement visual merchandising standards
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of retail management experience
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in business administration, retail sales, or marketing
- Experience in thrift store or nonprofit retail operations
- Background in inventory management and loss prevention
