We provide summer camp opportunities to hundreds of youth from Salvation Army programs across Minnesota and North Dakota. Our camp offers a safe, fun environment for youth to develop physically, socially, and spiritually while participating in various activities, including swimming, fishing, boating, archery, music, and arts and crafts.
Job Description:
The Head Program Aide supports camp activities, monitors camper safety, maintains equipment, assists with meal service, and oversees the Critters Snack Shop. This role also helps coordinate schedules and tasks for other program aides, ensuring a smooth and positive camp experience.
Responsibilities:
- Safety and Observation: Monitor campers and program areas for health and safety concerns, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain Equipment: Check and prepare program equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and readily available.
- Assist with Scheduling: Assist with scheduling and assignments of other program aides.
- Support Camp Programs: Actively participate in all assigned camp programs and activities.
- Snack Shop Oversight: Oversee the daily tasks of the Critters Snack Shop.
- Meal Assistance: Assist kitchen staff with meal service, including setup, serving, and cleanup.
- Build Positive Relationships: Foster a positive rapport with campers and colleagues.
- Camper Behavior Support: Encourage campers' compliance with rules and expectations.
- Participate in Spiritual Activities: Attend and actively engage in all designated spiritual activities and devotions.
