The Seasonal Ministry Team Leader oversees and leads a team of young adults in the Hands On program, liaising between host country leadership and THQ leadership. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills to ensure the smooth operation of mission assignments while fostering spiritual growth among team members. Team Leaders are instrumental in guiding their teams through hands-on mission work, cultural engagement, and ministry activities in alignment with the mission of The Salvation Army.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for the Hands On team, ensuring all activities align with the mission objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between host country leadership and THQ leadership, maintaining effective communication and collaboration.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute ministry programs, including worship, teaching, outreach, and discipleship activities.
- Mentor and support team members, fostering spiritual growth and cultural sensitivity.
- Manage travel, program scheduling, and team well-being logistics during the mission assignment.
Qualifications
- Must be a uniform-wearing Salvationist in good standing.
- Must uphold biblical standards and conduct oneself in a manner that reflects positively on The Salvation Army and its mission.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to manage and inspire a team in cross-cultural settings.
