The Seasonal Ministry Assistant serves as a key Hands On program team member, working alongside young adults in mission-based assignments in various countries. This role involves partnering with local Salvation Army ministries to engage in hands-on mission work, evangelism, and personal discipleship. Seasonal Ministry Assistants are responsible for assisting in developing, planning, and implementing diverse programs in host countries. They are deeply involved in ministry work, including teaching, leading, and preaching while serving in a cross-cultural environment to support the mission of The Salvation Army.
Responsibilities
- Support the Team Leader in planning and executing evangelistic and social ministry programs.
- Assist in corps summer youth ministries, such as recruitment for camps and Bible school programs.
- Lead or support after-school programs, focusing on bridging students into evangelistic and discipleship ministries.
- Engage in worship services, teaching Sunday school, leading Bible studies, and participating in various outreach programs.
- Contribute to urban mission work, children’s ministry, preaching, worship leading, and other tasks as the mission assignment requires.
Qualifications
- Must be a uniform-wearing Salvationist in good standing.
- Must demonstrate a strong commitment to biblical standards in personal and professional life.
- Must understand and appreciate the mission of The Salvation Army.
