Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant provides general office and project related support including assisting visitors, volunteers, and staff, answering telephones, and general administration duties.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Provides timely communication, feedback and follow-up to staff, leadership, clients, visitors, and volunteers
- Manages and distributes incoming calls, mail, email, and faxes
- Prepares documents and letters to copy, distribute and file
- Run reports from Payroll and HRIS system(s), produce documents for presentations and create HR forms
- Maintains inventory of supplies, furnishings, equipment; ordering supplies as requested
- Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Maintain employment files
- Manage and communicate new employee onboarding process
- Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees
- Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
- Build relationships with local colleges for recruiting new employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma / GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Some college preferred
- Two years of office or administrative experience
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
- Willingness to learn new software/programs: ADP Knowledge a plus
- Must have and maintain a current valid driver’s license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
- Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
