The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking an individual to fill the role of Sweet Shop Office Assistant. This full-time temporary summer position offers a unique opportunity to serve in a dynamic environment.
Job Description:
- Manage staff activities and direct daily operations of the Sweet Shop.
- Assist with registration, collect funds, and secure collected funds in the safe.
- Manage Sweet Shop accounts, inventory supplies, and report needed items to the DYCS.
- Secure the Sweet Shop after each Free Time, clean machines, empty trash, restock shelves, mop the floor, turn off lights, and lock doors.
- Report staff and maintenance problems to the DYCS and prepare camper refunds at the end of each camp session.
- Work closely with the Divisional Youth and Candidates Secretary, provide basic office support, and make copies, type, and distribute information to CMTs.
- Be present at all meals, meetings, and programs unless otherwise directed, and provide spiritual direction to campers as needed.
Requirements:
- Must be an individual of the Christian faith with a strong personal relationship with the Lord and regular church attendance.
- Requires good communication and leadership skills, ability to work in various climates, and basic typing skills.
- Must keep accurate accounting records, live on campgrounds throughout employment, and be a team player and self-starter able to work with minimum supervision.
