Position Summary : The Youth and Family Outreach Coordinator will work primarily with youth and families in the community and those who participate in activities / programs at The Salvation Army. This includes planning, implementing, and assessing Community Center programs, outreach events and After School program.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Lead and coordinate Community Center programs and outreach events in the community for youth, young adults, and seniors
- Prepare, plan, and supervise the After School program, Summer Day Camp program, Vacation Bible School, Rally Day, and other required denominational activities
- Collaborate with the Corps Officer to create a comprehensive schedule of developmental opportunities for youth
- Assist in providing transportation, as needed, for program participants to and from TSA sponsored events
- Attend designated Church and community center meetings which include Sunday meetings, special events, and youth / senior social events on a regular basis.
- Ensure that program spaces are cleaned and organized after each use
- Coordinator will attend all community center meetings requested by Corps Officers and DHQ
- The Coordinator should keep an accurate record of all programs and statistics for programs in gym and youth ministry : This report is turned into the Corps Officers the last Sunday of the month
- Perform other duties as assigned
