Salary/Grade: $45,760 annual; 10E

Description of Position: The Case Manager works within the emergency housing program and is responsible for family assessment, housing plan development, and regular contact with the residents to assess progress and needs. The Case Manager provides guidance and counseling to residents as needed, making referrals to social services not provided at the shelter. The Case Manager prepares applications for housing, documents resident progress, and ensures completion of all required forms in accordance with TSA and Office of Homeless Services. The Case Manager is a vital member of the Team and works with all departments to ensure families feel safe and respected during their stay.
The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the candidat e will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.
Qualifications
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, or enrolled in MSW program . Training in trauma-informed care (Sanctuary Model Training) preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check. Must have an understanding of, and support the Mission of The Salvation Army and the Sanctuary Model.
